- Greetings Homo Sapiens. This is Wai Kor (Brother Wai) in the house. Ma Foo Lat is a Cantonese popular phrase commonly used by Cantonese people in various occasions that depicts something shocking happened or something unbelievable happened or something that angers you or sometimes being used as an opening line when you meet other Chinese (instead of saying Hello!). Foo Lat itself means pants down (as you can see at my avatar) and Ma…. i don’t think it is got to do with our mother lah. Therefore, I may not be the best homo sapien on Earth but I certainly love to make other people cheerful. Hopefully, ma foo lat will make your life more meaningful each and everyday. Amen….
